What are you up to at the moment?
I’m in the last phase of my PhD and I’m currently working on the three essays that will compose my doctoral thesis. I expect to have the thesis ready in the beginning of 2017 and defend my PhD around the Summer.
How did DESMA influence you?
WELL, I WOULD NOT BE FINALIZING MY PHD WITHOUT THE DESMA RESEARCH AND ALL THE LEARNINGS OF THE COLLECTIVE JOURNEY THAT WAS DESMA. The DESMA ITN laid the foundations for my doctoral research and I feel that I benefited of an incredibly valuable and unique experience with Desma.
How do you relate to ”finding new ways of doing and communicating research”?
I have been in an academic setting from the beginning of my experience at DESMA and I have been working towards publishing my research in top peer-reviewed journals. As we all know, this is a lengthy process and very oriented to the academic community. While publishing in traditional academic journals is an important part of my goals I believe that I should strive for reaching different audiences. And although I assume that I have not invested as much as I should in this wider dissemination of my research results, I’m definitely convinced that it is something that I will explore more in the future.
