I am a is full Professor of Management of Innovation at the Politecnico di Milano, where I also serve as the Scientific Director of MaDe In Lab, the laboratory for education in management of design and innovation. I have been a visiting scholar at the Harvard Business School twice and a visiting professor of Design Management at the Copenhagen Business School, and am currently a Guest Professor at Mälardalen University, Sweden. I serve on the European Design Innovation Leadership Board of the European Commission, and on the Board of the EIASM – the European Institute for Advanced Studies in Management. I have issued more than 150 publications, which lie at the intersection of strategy, design and technology management, on journals such as Management Science, Journal of Product Innovation Management, Harvard Business Review. I am the author of “Design-Driven Innovation: Changing the Rules of Competition by Radically Innovating what Things Mean” published by Harvard Business Press, that has been nominated by the Academy of Management for the George R. Terry Book Award as one of the best 6 books published in 2008 and 2009 that have made the most outstanding contribution to the advancement of management knowledge.
