I’m a fellow of the RSA which is the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce and am a visiting tutor at Royal College of Art. I studied at Brunel University, gaining my B.Sc. degree in Product Design. I worked in the Design Management team at British Airways for over ten years and held various roles including Head of Design and led design projects such as the world’s first fully flat beds in business class and a brand refresh. I also worked on new interiors for Concorde and creatively directed and developed the new premium economy experience, World Traveller Plus.
From 2001-2003, I was Head of Design for railway company GNER, where I led the re-design of their fleet of high-speed IC225 trains. The design was hailed as setting the standard for train refurbishment projects.
In December 2008, I founded leapSTONE: a boutique design management consultancy that enables effective practice engagements between clients and designers across disciplines. leapSTONE’s projects have been multi-disciplined and clients have included the Department for Transport; Car Design Research; Intercontinental Hotels Group; Design Council; NHS; Thames and Hudson; London 2012 Olympics and WWF-UK.
