Imperial College London (officially The Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine) is a public research university located in London, specialising in science, engineering, medicine and business. Formerly a constituent college of the federal University of London, Imperial became fully independent in 2007, the 100th anniversary of its founding.
The Business School is one of the partners in the DESMA network. Established in 2003 by Professor David Gann, and now led by Professor Mike Wright, the Innovation and Entrepreneurship group undertakes research into innovation and entrepreneurship processes, from identifying pockets of original knowledge in the search for ideas, to the diffusion and entrepreneurial exploitation of new products, processes and services.
The Innovation & Entrepreneurship group works with global companies, SMEs, policy communities and research institutions, as well as flagship projects with Imperial’s Engineering, Natural Science and Medicine faculties. They actively translate their research findings through direct engagement with their partners, academic publications, conferences, workshops and briefings.Their findings are incorporated into Imperial College Business School’s MBA, MSc and Executive Education programmes, giving students unrivalled access to cutting-edge research.
