I hold a Master in Innovation Management from Central Saint Martins in 2012. I studied Business Administration in Germany as my undergraduate and worked across the communication and creative industry in different management roles since then. Among them, I served as a Project Manager for Condia Consulting in the health care sector, PR Manager for WISTO Vorarlberg – a business development corporation in Austria – followed by the position as Brand Manager at Wallmaier Hair in the beauty industry. During my studies at Central Saint Martins, I worked on a wide range of projects, from writing a business plan for novel use of algae to a social innovation project run in Ghana. As an ‘intrapreneur’, I started the insights department at Elmwood Branding Consultancy, setting up a global insights team and heading a research team. In short, these synergies between human-centered design processes and strategic management concepts enabled me to apply as Early Stage Researcher at DESMA.
Currently, as affiliated with the DESMA project run by Engine Service Design Consultancy, I investigate service design and its impact on organizations. Parallel to this, I study a PhD at Imperial Business Schoolin the department of Entrepreneurship & Innovation. I will further look at the micro-processes of organisations working with Engine, particularly when these organisations are product driven and want to change their focus towards a service logic: what managerial actions are taking place during this transformation from manufacturing to services?
